Nate, I’m sorry but I only just now saw your comment 🙁 I wish I could help you, but my printer has it’s own software and slicer that works great. I’ve never had to mess with 3rd party slicers like mesh mixer. I’ve always found that designing the parts to print well was dependent on 2 factors. 1) part orientation… designing the part to take advantage of layer grain for strength. and 2) Controlling the angles of overhangs and undersides to avoid the need for support material. I use a polygon modeling method so it’s pretty easy for me to control the finer details. Good luck with your printing adventures!
